William Barnett Allgood (April 5, 1868 - July 18, 1933) was a state official in Alabama. He served as State Auditor: from 1923 to 1927 and State Treasurer from 1927 to 1931.
He was born in Allgood, Alabama (Blount County, Alabama), the son of Dr. William Barnett Allgood and Mary Matilda (Ingram) Allgood of Chepultepec. DeForest and Temperance (Clayton) Allgood of Murphree's Valley and Council Bruton and Sara (Bostwick) Ingram were his grandparents. DeForest Allgood was born in Pickens District South Carolina and moved to Blount County, Alabama in 1836. He was a Primitive Baptist minister for more that 60 years and died in 1900.[1]
Miles Clayton Allgood who served as State Auditor and Agriculture Commissioner was his son.[2]
