Will Gollop (born 16 May 1950 in Canterbury), is an English former racing driver and engineer.

Biography

He started racing in 1972 in Autocross on a Mini 1000. After a few years in 1975 he moves to rallycross competing in local and national championship, till Gollop became a full-time European Rallycross driver in 1987 European Rallycross Championship season, ending in 4th overall in his debut seasons, driving a MG Metro 6R4. In the following season he didn't manage to win the title being the first spectator of the title battle between Martin Schanche and Matti Alamäki. In the 1992 European Rallycross Championship season, Gollop win his first and only rallycross title, thanks to the struggling season performed by Schanche[1]. After winning the title he changes car competing for the 1993 European Rallycross Championship season onwards with a Peugeot 306 16S, but he was unable to take part at the title race and achieve the results obtained with the previous car[2].
