William "Will" Bailey is a fictional character from the American television serial drama The West Wing created by Aaron Sorkin and portrayed by actor Joshua Malina[1]
Bailey holds numerous positions throughout his time on West Wing. Bailey is introduced in Season 4 as the campaign manager of Horton Wilde's campaign for Congress to represent Orange County, California in California's 47th Congressional District. Bailey is later named Deputy White House Communications Director in Jed Bartlet's administration, before accepting a position as Chief of Staff to Vice President Bob Russell. Bailey returns to the White House as Communications Director and Acting Press Secretary following the firing of Communications Director Toby Ziegler.
Will Bailey is the son of Thomas Bailey, the former Supreme Commander of Allied Forces Europe, and himself serves as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force.
