Waylon Wyatt Potter, known professionally as Waylon Wyatt, is an American country musician. He first began writing songs and posting them on the social media platform TikTok, before releasing his first two singles, "Everything Under the Sun" on November 10, 2023 and "Arkansas Diamond" on December 22, 2023.[1][2]
Wyatt began writing songs at the age of fifteen, inspired by red-dirt contemporaries Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan.[3] He released his debut EP, Til the Sun Goes Down, on July 19, 2024.[4]
Early life
Wyatt was born on October 16, 2006 in Hackett, Arkansas.[5] At an early age, Wyatt began working with his father doing general construction. In the summer of 2022, he began writing songs after shifts.[5] Since his music career began, Wyatt has remained working throughout, occasionally recording singing videos after long days and filming TikTok videos while on site.[6][7][8]
Career
Wyatt sold out his first headlining solo concert on August 15, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at George's Majestic Lounge.[9] He has toured with country artists such as Dwight Yoakam, Dylan Gossett, and Cole Chaney.[10][11]
