Waffle Cabin is a chain in the United States serving Belgian waffles predominantly at ski resorts. Waffle Cabin was founded in Boston, and was previously known as Waffle Haus.[2] As of 2025, Waffle Cabin has 42 locations across 13 states.
History
Ingrid Heyrman and Peter Creyf founded the chain in Boston, after moving to the United States from Belgium. They began selling the waffles as a street food snack in Quincy Market under the name "Leo’s – Gaufres de Liege".[3][4] The first ski mountain location was at Killington Ski Resort where they began to find success selling the snack to skiers. By 2006 there were 17 locations across eight resorts in Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.[2] In 2012 Waffle Cabin began franchising to expand its footprint.[3] As of 2023 there were 36 locations across the United States.[1]
