WINGTIPS are an American electro pop band formed in 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.
The group consists of the duo Vincent Segretario (vocals, guitar, electronics), and Hannah Avalon (electronics, percussion, vocals, guitar). Both artists met in Chicago in 2013 while studying musical theatre at Columbia College.
The band draws influence from music of the 1980s, and 1990s, specifically the new wave and synth-pop genres with elements of post-punk and gothic rock. The band's sound was described by Revolver Magazine as "channeling The Cure and early Ministry".[1] They also cite pop influences from bands such as Savage Garden
WINGTIPS have published four albums: Greyarea, Exposure Therapy, Cutting Room Floor, and Remixes. In August 2024, they released a new single, The Break, which features a collaboration from NYC-based artist Ronnie Stone.
