Idea Vi, sometimes known as Vodafone Idea Limited, is a telecommunications company that operates in India and has its offices in both Mumbai and Gandhinagar. It is an integrated GSM operator that serves the whole of India and provides services including 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G+, VoLTE, and VoWiFi.

Vi has a subscriber base of 269.03 million as of the 31st of October, 2021, placing it in the position of the third biggest mobile telecommunications network in India.

On the 31st of August in 2018, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular combined together to establish a new company that is now known as Vodafone Idea Limited. The Aditya Birla Group presently has a 17.80 percent share in the merged firm, whereas Vodafone currently has a 28.5 percent stake in the combined entity. Ravinder Takkar, formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Romania, is the current Chief Executive Officer of the firm.

'Vodafone' and 'Idea' are going to be combined into a single brand under the new name 'Vi,' which will be launched by Vodafone Idea on September 7, 2020. This will mark the company's debut of its new brand identity, which will be known as 'Vi.'

According to the most recent statistics that was released by the organisation that regulates the telecom industry, TRAI, in May 2021, Vi had the slowest upload speed of 0.28 Mbps.
