N Vishnu Swaroop Reddy, head of the department for ENT at Care Hospitals,Hyderabad, became the first surgeon in India and second in the world to complete 1007 stapedotomy surgeries.[1] [2] [3]
Early life
He was Born at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Parents are Narapareddy Kodandarama Reddy, M.A. and N.Sulochanamma, hails from Mypaud village, Nellore District. Went to Primary School there and MVRR ZP High School, Narasapuram, Nellore District, then went to VR College, Nellore for Intermediate and started B.Sc. Then got Medicine seat at Sri Venkateshwara Medical College, S.V. University, Tirupati. Completed MBBS and then MS in E.N.T. and Head and Neck Surgery at the same institution, under University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.[citation needed]
Biography
He studied MS in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (E.N.T.) in 1991, and has got married to Dr Shanthi Vuppala, from Hyderabad, currently a senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.
Worked as a Consultant Otolaryngologist (E.N.T. Surgeon) and Facial Plastic Surgeon at Staffordshire General Hospitals, Stafford, England (2001-2002) and at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a university teaching hospital, Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom (2002-2003). He returned to India in April 2003 to Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, where he is working currently as the Clinical Director, Head of the Dept. and Chief Consultant E.N.T. Head and Neck and Facial Plastic Surgeon. Here he got the E.N.T. department recognized by National Board of Examinations for the D.N.B. postgraduate training and had been replicating the E.N.T. Surgeons for more than a decade.[4]
He is the founder Executive Chairman of FRCSIT (Facial Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery India Trust) for five years. During his tenure, got recognition and became associate member of IFFPSS (International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies)[5]
Currently, in the Council as advisory board chairman[6]

- Performed Epley’s particle re-positioning maneuver for over 18000 patients of BPPV (Positional Vertigo/Giddiness )[7]
