Vishan Nagar is a small village of 1036 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vishan Nagar depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Vishan Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Vishan Nagar's pin code is 342021[4], and village code is 01971200. The area of Vishan Nagar is segregated as 163 hectares irrigated area, 857 hectares unirrigated, the 16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
