Vijay Varadharaj is an Indian actor, film director, podcaster who works in the Tamil film industry. He started his media career in 2012 with his Youtube channel Temple Monkeys along with his friend Sha Ra.[1] He made his feature film acting debut in the Tamil movie Enakku Innoru Per Irukku.[2] His first directorial venture, Tamil movie Pallu Padama Paathuka was scheduled for release in March 2020 but has been deferred.[3]
Early life
He has acknowledged he has had stuttering since school years, and stage performances helped him overcome this.[4]
Career
Vijay Varadharaj's youtube channel Temple Monkeys is considered among the first in Tamil language.[5] The channel has a cult following of over 200,000 for its offbeat satirical comedy videos on various issues of common interest. Since the delay in the release of Pallu Padama Paathuka, he has announced his next venture as a director, a webseries for Aha-Tamil Kuthukku Paththu featuring Aadukalam Naren, Bose Venkat. He also runs a popular podcast Vocal Oli.[6]
