Biography

Vida Macura was born on November 1, 1983 in Koper, Slovenia, and under the influence of her uncle Dušan Macura, a recognized sports pedagogue, karate coach, president of the professional council of the Karate Association of Slovenia (ZKOS) and philosopher, she began training in Shotokan karate at the Karate Club Piran when she was 7 years old. Today, she is a categorized athlete at the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Slovenia, holder of a black belt (1st DAN) in karate and a coach. During her competitive period, she won several national and international titles as a member of the Slovenian karate national team.

In 2012, she met and fell in love with her now-husband Simon Maglica (born February 14, 1976, Koper), before they married (June 26, 2021), she gave birth to their two children, son Niko (August 18, 2015) and daughter Mia (March 21, 2019). Vida gave birth to both children by Caesarean section in the Izola maternity hospital.Together with her husband, she developed and certified brand and smart app Extreme Training, which offers women a training program completely tailored to their needs. The success of her application and program led her, as the only European and one of the top 10 best professional fitness trainers, to perform on the big stage at the largest global event in the field of fitness, sports, and well-being, Dubai Active Industry in 2022, and in 2023, also at the largest sports and wellness fair in Europe, Rimini Wellness.
