Vicki Mack Lataillade (born February 27, 1954) is a an American Record Executive, A&R Representative, Talk Show Host, Businesswoman, and Independent Records Marketing Consultant.[1] She has been referred to as "The Shot Caller" by Ebony magazine. Vicki was born and raised in San Mateo, California, to Edwin Mack, and Claire Mack. Lataillade is the founder and former CEO of GospoCentric Inc, which was established in 1992. In 1996 Lataillade’s husband Claude Lataillade founded B-Rite Music which was a joint venture with Interscope Records.[1]
In 2005 both labels merged to form GospoCentric Records. GospoCentric and B-Rite's artist roster have included artists like Kirk Franklin, Kurt Carr, Kurt Carr Singers, Tramaine Hawkins, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Byron Cage, Donald Lawrence, J. Moss, David Hollister, Kelly Price, Papa San, Natalie Wilson & the SOP Chorale, God's Property, Percy Bady, and R.J. Helton among others.[1] After buying out Interscope’s interest in the joint venture, she sold her record labels to Sony/BMG she then purchased a 50% share of Central South Distribution and served on its corporate board and as President of the Premiere Label Group.[2][3][4]
Vicki also founded Lillie Mack Music which is a publishing company containing a catalogue of over 800 songs written by artists such as Kirk Franklin, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Hezekiah Walker. Lataillade currently works as the CEO of Amethyst Gray, a minority distribution / marketing company and served as its president.[5] Her publishing company has won twelve BMI Song Citation Achievement Awards, and one SESAC Song Award.
In 2017, Lataillade resigned from the board of Central South Distribution to focus on her publishing company and the development of allergenic free food products.
