Biography

Vaso Mijanović was born in Trebinje on January 10, 1979. where he finished elementary school and was declared a student of the 1985/86 generation, after which he graduated from the Military High School in Belgrade, and spent six years in professional military service. Vaso Mijanovic have Bosnia and Herzegovina Kingdom of Spainand Republic of Serbia citizenship. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law , and is a doctoral student at the International Burch University in the field of "International relations and European studies". He has passed the judicial and bar exams. He served as the head of the service for general, legal and personnel affairs, as well as the director of the Public Health Institution Hospital Trebinje, the director of the Public Health Institution Health Center Trebinje, a counselor in the Trebinje City Assembly. Vaso Mijanović was engaged as a consultant in several law offices, legal entities and individuals. As a volunteer, he was the president of the Board of Directors of the Public Institution Student Center Trebinje, and he also performs the functions of the President of the Assembly of the Jewish Municipality of Banja Luka, as well as a member of the supervisory board of the Verlab scientific research institute for biomedical engineering, medical devices and artificial intelligence.

Sports engagement

Over 30 years directly and indirectly involved in the work of football clubs and football institutions in the region, as well as several organs and bodies of the Football Association of Republika Srpska and Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina; the member of the Assembly of Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period 2016-2020, the member of Assembly of the Football Association of Republika Srpska in the period from 2016- 2020, President of the Assembly of FK Leotar Trebinje in the period 2013-2015, and in the term of 2020-2024 he is a member of the Election commission of Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the President of the First instance licensing Commission of the Football Association of Republika Srpska. He was also involved in the work of FK Partizan and FK Borac Banja Luka. In 2022, he founded the Women's Football Club Leotar Trebinje, of which he is the President, and performs the functions of manager and assistant coach on a voluntary basis. Since 2021, he has been employed in the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the position of head of marketing and promotion. As a representative of LOS, he organized the 2022 UEFA Women's Under-17 ChampionshipBosnia and Herzegovina in 2022. He successfully completed the UEFA CFM (UEFA Football Management) program of the UEFA Academy and IDHEAP of the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, and he also holds a UEFA C coaching license. He was appointed by the UEFA Executive Committee as a member of the UEFA Committee for Women's Football.
