Vaseekaran Balaji was born on 24 July 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Guru Nanak College from 2004 to 2007.
Career
Balaji started his career in the Tamil film industry as an actor, featuring in a range of films from 2010 onwards. His notable acting credits include Sarpatta Parambarai, Sinam, 1945, Appu VI-STD, Aakkam, Puraakoondu, Kaattu Paiya Saar Indha Kali, and Kurangu Kaiyila Poomalai.
Directorial Debut
In 2024, Balaji made his directorial debut with the Tamil film Appu VI-STD. The film, a crime drama thriller, starred Kalloori Vinoth and Priyadarshini and was noted for its engaging storytelling and direction.
Upcoming Projects
Balaji is currently directing a new Tamil film, tentatively titled Project 2, starring Tamil actor X - Name will be revealed afterwards. This project marks another step in his growing career as a director.
