Vamsi Patchipulusu pursued his schooling in Visakhapatnam from St.Alousius high school and Pollocks high school[1]

While pursuing Graduation in Biotechnology from Dr. LB collage, Vamsi Patchipulusu was always inclined towards the arts and photography which started as a hobby in college. While graduating, he enrolled for a course in VFX and Editing. while dabbling in work as an editor for corporate videos and taking up small time freelance VFX works.[1]

He then moved to Hyderabad in 2010 and started his career in cinematography by assisting Malayalam cinematographer Sabu James for 2 years. Following which he worked under SK Bhoopathi for a couple more years as a Assistant Cameraman. In 2012, he then collaborated with Cinematographer Shaneil Deo for a film and the collaboration continued on as an operative camera man for blockbuster Kshanam in 2014 and as a 2’nd Unit DOP for Goodachari (2018)

Post this he officially debuted as the cinematographer for Evaru in (2019) which got him a good acclaim in thriller genre and went on to become the cinematographer for films like Varudu Kavelenu (2021) and Major in 2022, which was critically acclaimed and a massive success across Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages.[2]
