Bishop Valan Arasu (born June 13, 1967) is the Roman Catholic Bishop of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Early life
Bishop Arasu (born 13 June 1967, in Enayam kanyakumari) is an Indian Roman Catholic prelate. He completed his early formation at the Xavier Mission Home Minor Seminary and pursued studies in philosophy and theology at St. Charles Seminary, Nagpur.
He holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Annamalai University and a doctorate from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya.
Arasu was ordained a priest on 12 May 1996. He has also served the diocese in administrative and coordinating roles such as deputy secretary to the Council of Priests, master of ceremonies, and secretary for various diocesan commissions.
