Vainguinim is a small village of 68 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vainguinim depends on BICHOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Vainguinim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Vainguinim's pin code is 403504[5], and village code is 00009800. The area of Vainguinim is segregated as 46.33 hectares unirrigated, the 8.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 12.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Vainguinim has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BICHOLIM and North Goa to sell country liquor and make their living.
