Vahid Akbarzadeh (born December 13, 1973) is an Iranian national team bodybuilding head coach, currently serving as the head coach of Iran's national bodybuilding team.[1] With a successful career in both competing and coaching, Akbarzadeh has made significant contributions to bodybuilding in Iran and has achieved numerous accolades.[2]

Biography

Akbarzadeh was born on December 13, 1973, in Tehran. He began his athletic journey in wrestling but eventually shifted his focus to bodybuilding in 1990. The same year he debuted in competitive bodybuilding and participated in club competitions. His dedication and talent quickly became apparent, and in 2000 and 2001, he secured first place in the selection competitions of the national team in the weight categories of 70 kg and 65 kg, respectively. As a result, he was invited to join the national team in 2001.[3]

In 2006, Akbarzadeh embarked on a coaching career, and he achieved immediate success. He clinched first place in coaching Tehran clubs, earning him the opportunity to coach the Tehran team in national competitions. That year, under his guidance, the Tehran team claimed the championship position in Iran's bodybuilding competitions. From then on, Akbarzadeh's team consistently won the championship every year until 2012.[4]

In 2017, Vahid Akbarzadeh was appointed as the head coach of Iran's national bodybuilding and bodybuilding team. Over the years, he has worked closely with his coaching staff to develop and train exceptional athletes. Under his leadership, the Iranian national team has achieved remarkable success, emerging as champions in both Asian and world competitions.[5][6]

  • First place in the team championship at the Guangzhou China Asian Games in 2012
  • First place in the team championship at the World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2012
  • Second place in the team championship at Brazil's World Cup in 2014
  • First place in the team championship at the Sri Lanka Asian Championship in 2014
  • First place in the team championship at the Japan Asian Games in 2015
  • First place in the team championship at the Beijing Cheban Asian Games in 2016
  • Named the best trainer in the world by the IFBB Federation in 2016.

  • First place in the team championship at the Spanish World Championship in 2017
