Uttesar is a small village of 1896 hectares in Luni Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Uttesar depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Uttesar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Uttesar's pin code is 342801[4], and village code is 01998600. The area of Uttesar is segregated as 1784.1 hectares unirrigated, remaining 112 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
