Upadhyapur is a small village of 136 hectares in Bairia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Upadhyapur depends on RANIGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply which is 80.00% of the total supply, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Upadhyapur's pin code is 277208[4], and village code is 09301000. The area of Upadhyapur is segregated as 80 hectares irrigated area, 56 hectares unirrigated area.
