Ummedpura is a small village of 256 hectares in Rajsamand Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of , India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ummedpura depends on ASIND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ummedpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ummedpura's pin code is 313301[4], and village code is 02958600. The area of Ummedpura is segregated as 53 hectares irrigated area, 51.12 hectares unirrigated, the 97 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 55 hectare area not available for cultivation.
