Ummedpura is a small village of 79 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ummedpura depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Ummedpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ummedpura's pin code is 327026[4], and village code is 03404200. The area of Ummedpura is segregated as 41 hectares irrigated area, 11 hectares unirrigated, the 2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.
