Umesh Dobhal was born on 17 February 1952 in Siroli village of Idwalsyun patti in Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand. He worked with Amar Ujala till his death.[1][2]
Umesh Dobhal Smriti Trust
The Umesh Dobhal Smriti Trust has been established in the name of Umesh Dobhal, which organizes seminars in different parts of Uttarakhand every year in his memory and honors a young journalist with the Umesh Dobhal Smriti Trust Award. The Umesh Dobhal Samman 2023 given to the convener of the Joshimath Bachao Movement Atul Sati and the print media award to Himansu Joshi of Tanakpur.[3]
Poems & Work
Apart from being a journalist, he was also a good poet and social worker.[4][5]
