Umedha is a small village of 57 hectares in Sikanderpur Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Umedha depends on Shikarpur MB, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Umedha's pin code is 277303[4], and village code is 09116400. The area of Umedha is segregated as 36 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated area. the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 6 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Umedha has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shikarpur MB and Ballia to sell spices and make their living.
