Umariya is a small village of 480 hectares in Gangdhar Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Umariya depends on Jhalawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 115.05% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Umariya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Umariya's pin code is 326514[4], and village code is 03991900. The area of Umariya is segregated as 404.23 hectares irrigated area, 5.06 hectares unirrigated, the 22.31 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 48.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.
