Umar is a small village of 2220 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Umar depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 8.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Umar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Umar's pin code is 323025[3], and village code is 02697300. The area of Umar is segregated as 234.35 hectares irrigated area, 213.55 hectares unirrigated, the 264.3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 746.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Umar is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2431 and has total administration over 529 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell juggery and make their living.
