URAWarrior is a mental health application available on iOS and Android platforms. The app was launched in 2021 by American tech entrepreneur and motivational speaker Bershan Shaw.[1]

URAWarrior connects individuals with mental health issues to experts, coaches, celebrities, and motivational speakers. The app fosters a supportive and inclusive community, providing users with a platform to address various mental health concerns such as depression, grief, stress, LGBTQ+, and substance abuse. URAWarrior operates to mitigate feelings of isolation and facilitate support for users in their mental well-being journey.[2]

History

URAWarrior was founded in greater New York in 2021 by Bershan Shaw. The concept originated from Shaw's personal experience with cancer. Faced with a prognosis of three months to live, Shaw, initially contending with depression, redirected her focus towards living and envisioned URAWarrior as a supportive platform for others navigating mental health challenges, particularly amid the heightened difficulties during the pandemic.[3]

URAWarrior is a secure platform for individuals to share, support, and inspire one another, addressing various mental health issues such as depression, grief, stress, LGBTQ+, substance abuse, and more. The platform includes professional virtual coaches to guide users on their growth journey, embodying a contemporary approach to fostering connections and communication.[4]

The app has positioned itself as a secure, positive, and inclusive mental health app that strives to counteract feelings of isolation. It has established the world's largest online therapy, coaching, and wellness ecosystem, providing a supportive community for users to share and seek assistance.[5]

On World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2023, URAWarrior introduced mobile apps for Android and iOS users, available in English.[6]

Concept

URAWarrior is a mental wellness platform that creates a secure and inclusive community for individuals navigating their mental well-being.[7] The application offers access to professional virtual coaches, guiding users toward personal development and self-improvement.[8] URAWarrior aims to destigmatize mental wellness by fostering an inclusive space that supports, uplifts and empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds.[9]

Upon downloading the app, users can share a 30-second warrior story to inspire and support others on the app's wall. The app introduces Warrior Challenges, designed to promote mental and emotional healing by leveraging evidence-based tools like affirmations, meditations, and exercises.[10] The app's Clubhouse presence facilitates user connections and engagement, offering a modern approach to interpersonal communication within the community.[11]
