Tyler Grosso is an American fashion model.
Early life and education
Born and raised in New York, to parents Gary Joseph Grosso and Gail Santino Grosso, Tyler spent his early childhood years in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, before moving to Massapequa, Long Island, at Eight years old. From a young age, Tyler had an affinity for creating things and making a memorable career for himself in front of the camera. His first passion was fashion. He would save money cutting lawns during the summers to buy the latest Fashion magazines to keep up with the trends and changes in the fashion industry. Later on, he would be the one to walk in runway shows and have his picture in magazines.
Throughout his high school career, Tyler was very involved with various extracurricular activities. As an athlete and academic All-American, he was awarded the Speaking & Service Award for his achievements with the National Speech & Debate Association. He also earned recognition for charitable work with the American Red Cross and volunteered at weekend food drives, blood banks, and soup kitchens. By his sophomore year, Tyler discovered his love for acting through Theatre, where he was the male lead; in shows such as The Music Man, Grease, Our Town, and Almost, Maine. Through continued academic success and various extracurricular activities, he would be awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he studied Theatre and worked as a Hospitality Consultant for Nightlife venues.
Career
After graduating from college and working as a theatre actor in Miami for a few years, Tyler moved to New York. He would reconnect with family and friends in a familiar city and reassess his trajectory while maintaining acting roles at small theaters throughout the city. On the side, Tyler would attend art exhibitions and local non-profit fundraisers at art galleries. This natural and organic process eventually led him to work for an art gallery, marking his third passion, art. Working as a gallery curator until 2020, he would venture into the music world, producing beats and developing his own sound. This fourth passion of his allowed him to travel outside the country and form great connections with people that have helped positively shape his journey.[1][2][3]
In October 2022, Tyler’s debut in the Fashion Industry began after his friends, Will and Will, who own the clothing brand Sole in Viaggio, established a pop-up store on the Lower East Side of New York City to sell their clothes. Tyler was photographed donning their brand's clothing at the event, and the resulting Instagram posts received a warm reception. At that moment, he realized he could pursue a career in modeling. Soon after, he would rebranded himself as Ty and start his career as a Fashion Model. With over two million combined video reels viewed from his fashion-curated reels on social media, where he would gain a large committed following supporting his content.[4][5]
The ability to transform is fantastic, and the ability to do so confidently while staying true to yourself is a rare talent. This creative mind has captured the essence of his unique style while maintaining a high focus. Tyler has a strong passion, love, and drive for what he does, and it shows.[6][7][8]
Philanthropy
Tyler’s philanthropic efforts with the Wholehearted Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the American Red Cross showcase his generous nature. Moreover, he leverages his social media presence to foster connections, spread positivity, and unite people around shared goals and values. Tyler has also made a significant impact by raising more than ten thousand dollars for the Choose Hope Project and serving as an ambassador for the Wholehearted Foundation.
