Tuem is a small village of 1523 hectares in Pernem Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tuem depends on PARCEM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 1.90% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tuem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Tuem's pin code is 403512[5], and village code is 00002200. The area of Tuem is segregated as 7.9 hectares irrigated area, 1017.79 hectares unirrigated, the 37.62 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 460.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tuem has One post office (Tuem B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Tuem has Two banks and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Tuem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 2751 and has total administration over 652 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PARCEM and North Goa to sell medicine (tabs) and make their living.
