Tristan Clopet is a Canadian-born American composer. He scored the Netflix and Crackle series StartUp. His score for River Wild received a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nomination.
Early life and education
Clopet was born in Toronto, Ontario. He studied at the University of Miami.
Career
Earlier in his career, Clopet was a member of the synth-pop band Great Good Fine Ok, performing with the group at festivals including South by Southwest (SXSW). He contributed music to Brad Furman's 2016 film The Infiltrator while working with composer Chris Hajian.
Clopet was the composer for the Crackle series StartUp (2016–2018). A soundtrack album featuring his score was released by Madison Gate Records in 2018.
In 2023, he scored River Wild for Universal Pictures and earned a nomination for Best Original Score (TV/Streamed Movie) at the 2023 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The score was released by Back Lot Music.
Clopet wrote music for Crown Heights, which won the Audience Award at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. He also worked on the AMC+ series Pantheon (2022), collaborating with Marco Beltrami, Buck Sanders, and Brandon Roberts.
