Trident Funding is a privately owned originator of Boat, Recreational Vehicle (RV), and Aircraft loans in the U.S. Today, Trident has 6 offices nationwide and is a subsidiary of Boats Group.[1]
History
- Trident was established in 1996 in Connecticut by James Foley, Robert Dunford and Michael Bryant.
- In 2018, St. Louis-based Oakland Capital Partners[2] privately invested in Trident Funding as a holding company.
- In November 2021, Trident Funding partnered with Boatzon[3] to reach boat buyers in the online marketplace.
- Trident Funding works with more than 50 banks and financial institutions[4] to provide borrowers loans on boats, RVs and aircraft.
