Trevor Bonot (born May 27, 1985, in Fort Frances, Ontario) is a Canadian curler who lives in Thunder Bay, ON. Bonot grew up in the small town of Stratton, ON and was introduced to the sport of curling at a young age. He started playing in his first 'adult' league at the age of 4 with his father, Bryan. Bonot currently competes in Men's, Mixed and Mixed Doubles. Bonot skipped the first team from Canada to win a medal at any World Mixed Curling Championships (2017).[1]
Curling Career
Bantams and Juniors
Bonot started curling competitive a young age, playing in his first District Playdown at 12 years old. He qualified for his first Northern Ontario Provincial Junior Men's Championship in 2005 in Kapuskasing, ON and he was the runner-up to Brad Jacobs.
Men's
The best season for Bonot was 2023 when his team finished 3rd in Northern Ontario. [2]

Mixed
Mixed curling has been where Bonot has the most success. Bonot has won 5 Northern Ontario Championships, all with his older sister Jackie McCormick at Third[3]. Bonot won a Gold medal at his first ever National Championship appearance, the 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship[4] and a Silver medal at the 2017 World Mixed Curling Championships in Champery, Switzerland. Bonot win the 2019 and 2021 Northern Ontario Mixed Championships but failed to medal at the National level. Bonot finally made his way back to the Championship final of the 2022 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship.[5] but left Prince Albert, SK with a Silver Medal losing a lopsided final to the team from Quebec.
Bonot has been present with the Sportsmanship Award (voted on by competitors) three times at the Canadian Mixed. (2017, 2019 and 2022)

Mixed Doubles
Trevor has completed in two Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships. He competed with Amanda gates at the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship held in Leduc, Alberta. He won another Northern Ontario Provincial title in 2020 with his new partner Oye-Sem Won but did not get to play in the 2020 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship as they were cancelled due to the onset of Covid-19. The next year they were selected by the Northern Ontario Curling Association to represent Northern Ontario at the Calgary Bubble in the 2021 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. [6]

Personal Life
Bonot lives in Thunder Bay, ON and is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. Bonot is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. He was the Grand Marshall of the 2019 Borderland Pride March in Fort Frances, ON and International Falls, MN. [7]
Bonot is involved with curling off the ice as well as he sits on the Board of the Northern Ontario Curling Association. [8]
Education
Bonot graduated from Rainy River High School in 2003 before moving to Thunder Bay to attend Lakehead University. Bonot graduated with an HBa in Sociology.
