History
Tracy Young studied construction engineering management at California State Univerity in Sacramento in 2008.[4][5] When she was done with college, she worked as a construction project engineer for the Rudolph and Sletten.[6] It was about this time when she was working on two hospitals where she realized that the technology wasn't helping the construction crew that much, which was her inspiration for PlanGrid.
In 2011, they founded the company PlanGrid. At the same time, she asked her friends (the other founders) to quit their jobs and to come work with her.[6] They started to build with their software in 2012.
On December 20, 2018, Autodesk completed the transaction to buy PlanGrid for $875 million.[5]
After she sold PlanGrid, she worked for Y-combinator in the years of 2020 to 2021 as a visiting partner.[7] In the year 2022, she started TigerEye and raised $30 million from investing firms Initialized Capital and Next47.[8]
