Tracy Sun is an American entrepreneur and business executive,[1] best known as the co-founder and Senior Vice President of Seller Experience at Poshmark, a leading social commerce marketplace.[2][3]

Early Life and Education

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sun grew up in the vibrant streets of New York City. She kicked off her academic journey at Barnard College, part of Columbia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology back in 1999. At first, she had her sights set on becoming a neurosurgeon and even worked with Alzheimer's patients early on in her career. But after some soul-searching, she decided to switch gears and enrolled at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where she proudly earned her Master of Business Administration in 2005.

Career

Sun has had an impressive career that stretches over 15 years, blending the worlds of fashion and technology.[4] She kicked things off as the Vice President of Merchandising at Brooklyn Industries, a trendy fashion retailer based in New York City.[5] In 2011, she took a big leap and co-founded Poshmark with Manish Chandra, Gautam Golwala, and Chetan Pungaliya. Poshmark made its debut as a mobile-first platform, making it super easy for users to buy and sell fashion items right from their smartphones. Fast forward to 2023, and Sun is now the Senior Vice President of Seller Experience at Poshmark, where she’s dedicated to uplifting and supporting the community of sellers on the platform.[6]

Sun has been acknowledged for her contributions to the tech and fashion industries. She has been featured as a "Top Female Tech Founder" by USA Today and TechCrunch, and recognized as a "Retail Game-Changer" by Marie Claire.
