Toyin Alausa (born 4 January 1978)[1] is a Nigerian actress, film producer and movie director.[2] She became prominent in the Nigeria Nollywood industry in 1997 for the role she played in a soap opera movie Tales by Moonlight.[3]

Early life and education

Toyin Alausa was born into a Polygamy family on 4 January 1978 in Ijebu Ode in Ogun State. She is the only child of her mother, and the fourth of six children in the family. She was born into a Muslims family, with her Mother being a Christianity.[4]

Toyin attended both primary and secondary school education in Ijebu Ode, ogun state. She furthered her education at the College of education where she studied English at the Ogun state college of education and eventually dropped out after getting pregnant during the course of her studies to focus on her child.

Career

[5] Toyin Alausa started her acting career at a very early stage with school dramas, but wasn't fully recognised until 1997[6] where she took a role in a Nigerian soap opera Tales by Moonlight, she has since featured in several soap opera and television series like Super story, Family ties, Edge of Paradise, Treasures, Memorial Hospital and many Other. She has also acted different movies as she doesn't only act in operas.[7]

Personal life

Toyin Alausa is not married at the moment.[8] She is a Single parent[9] to her son Rotimi Muyiwa, her adult son. When she was 17 years old she got pregnant, [10]and this made her drop out of the institution (ogun state college of education) where she studied English before the exit and ever since, she's been in charge of everything concerning the grow of her son.
