Tony Brazier is an American Film Producer and Director.[1]

Career

After joining the United States Army as a Combat Camera Specialist (25V) in the Signal Corps, Brazier was assigned to the United States Army Special Operations Command where he served as military liaison and production assistant to EUE/Screen Gems, helping to make Frank Capra Jr.'s final film [2], the Special Forces/Green Beret documentary Why We Fight Now.

Following honorable discharge from military service (8 years served) he began independently producing/directing commercial ads, short films and music videos, eventually teaming up with Bill Cody (Athens, GA: Inside/Out, Slaves to the Underground) to make Athens, Ga. Inside/Out 2: Red Turns Blue, the follow-up to Cody's 1987 cult classic Athens, GA: Inside/Out.

Brazier's full-length feature debut film [3] explores the Athens, GA music, arts and political scene during from 2016-2020 and features Cindy Wilson of the B-52's and Vanessa Briscoe Hay from Pylon (band), both of which have been named one of "The 25 Best Frontwomen of All Time" by Paste Magazine[4], along with other notable musicians including members of The Elephant 6 Collective, Drive-By Truckers, Kishi Bashi, Mariah Parker, Michael Lachowski and the poet Coleman Barks.

During the documentary filming he produced the official music video for Beep by Pylon Reenactment Society, as well as directed the video for the band's first original single Messenger[5], both featuring Vanessa Briscoe Hay from Pylon (band) as well as former members of the The Glands and Casper & the Cookies.

Brazier is currently writing a screenplay based on the true story of a Georgia couple that were murdered in the 1980's.
