Tony Adejo Okpanachi (Born 1966) was the deputy managing director of the Pan African conglomerate bank Eco Bank Nigeria and was also the bank's chief executive officer at several African countries including Ecobank in Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, and Kenya.[1] In 2017 he was appointed the managing director of the Development Bank of Nigeria.[2]

Early life and carrier

Okpanachi attended the Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria and the University of Lagos. He later proceeded to obtain a Master degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School UK.[3] Prior to his appointment as deputy manager of Eco Bank Nigeria in 2013, he was the chief executive officer at several African countries including Ecobank in Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, and Kenya.[4]

In 2017, Tony was appointed the managing director of Deveopment Bank of Nigeria plc by president Muhammadu Buhari, as he was the first person to hold such a position in the county.[5][6]

Personal life

He is married to Ivie Okpanachi.[7]
