Thomas Halpin (born November 9, 1993) is a professional submission grappler and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, from Limerick, Ireland.[1] He is a Black Belt under Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu since 2017, after many years of being self-coached in Ireland.[1] Halpin is an ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship,[2][3] and the first Irishman to qualify and compete at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship, the most prestigious grappling tournament in the world.[4] He is also the 2020 Combat Jiu Jitsu World Champion,[5] submitting all his opponents on the way to the title.[6] He currently competes in the featherweight division for Polaris Pro Grappling, becoming the number one featherweight contender, and also the MVP (Most Valuable Grappler) of their first Polaris 'Squads' event.[7]
