Tiracol is a small village of 201 hectares in Pernem Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tiracol depends on PERNEM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tiracol is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Tiracol's pin code is 403524[5], and village code is 00000100. The area of Tiracol is segregated as 0.47 hectares irrigated area, 90.15 hectares unirrigated, the 19.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 88.28 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 68 male, 35 female with 79 (76.7%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 56 males and 23 females. 3 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 24 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PERNEM and North Goa to sell country liquor and make their living.
