Tingying Dong is a Chinese theatrical sound designer, composer and theatre-maker, she has worked extensively in the United Kingdom on theatre shows in the West End and internationally.
Early life and education
Dong was born in Beijing, initially studying behavioural economics in Tianjin and then Rotterdam. Dong then decided to move to the UK and study at drama school, enrolling at LAMDA graduating with a Production and Technical Arts degree in 2019, specialising in sound design.[1][2][3]
She was inspired to work in theatre due to a friend who was working on the Chinese adaptation of War Horse.[4]
Dong's first professional role was an internship at the Lyric Hammersmith at their annual Pantomime.[3]
