Thorne Aleksandr Baker, more commonly and professionally known by his stage name Teenage Disaster and the ‘’’Mandela Catalogue’’’is an American musician, actor, animator, artist and game developer. Baker gained notoriety in November 2020 after joining the music collective Spider Gang. After being signed to Atlantic Records in 2022[1], Thorne would leave Spider Gang and focus on his own projects. In 2022 he would release his first studio album CREEP, featuring collaborations from artists such as Afourteen, Lil Darkie and Blckk[2]. On September 7th 2025, the Teenage Disaster song Inside would be played on select radio stations, giving Baker a big jump in his career.
Biography
Thorne Baker was born on June 20, 2001 in Humboldt County, California. Baker started making music in 2012 at 11 when he was introduced to the ukulele and he started experimenting with the instrument. Before becoming Teenage Disaster, he released a few songs going by his first name. The Soundcloud page for Thorne is still up and able to view with various tracks on it.
Music
Teenage Disaster got his first big exposure for his collaboration on the song Somniphobia with fellow artist Afourteen. The two would later go on to create a musical duo called Grekom while still both having their own solo careers. This would be Baker's second duo (being part of Cemetery Boys) and lead into him joining his third group being Spider Gang in November 2020. Whilst still being active with Grekom and Cemetery Boys, he was kicked out of Spider Gang in June 2022 after being signed to Atlantic Records. In 2022 Teenage Disaster released his first album titled "CREEP" and as of September 2025 is in the process of making a second album "Smile".
Game Development and Acting
Baker created the game Maple County for Itch.io in 2021 for the analog horror franchise The Mandela Catalogue. Popular YouTubers such as Markiplier[3]and Jacksepticeye[4] saw and highly rated the game, bringing it to the attention of series creator Alex Kister. Kister was so impressed that he offered Baker a leading role in the show as Thatcher Davis, a police officer exploring the bizarre nature of the anomalies in the universe.
The Mandela Catalogue gave Baker a big spike in popularity, leading to voice acting collaborations for people such as Pyrocynical and Cabin Tales. He has expressed interest and shown clips of a new game he is making, however as of September 2025 there has been no release despite being teased as early as 2023.
