Thomas L. Pate (TP) is an American poet[1]and tennis coach.[2]
Early life and education
Pate is a child of Floridian descent. At the age of 5, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and attended Westside High School.[3] In high school, Pate picked up a love for the sport of tennis,[4] which he would go on to coach and play competitively.
He currently attends the University of Iowa[5] where he studies creative writing on the poetry track, as well as Sport management|sports management. Pate is on the Hawkeye Tennis Travel team and frequently attends other racket sport clubs.
TP provides both group and private tennis instruction at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex[6] located on the University's campus.

TP has a collection of poems that will be published in May 2024.
