Thob is a small village of 7970 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thob depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thob is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Thob's pin code is 344032[4], and village code is 02147800. The area of Thob is segregated as 5868.15 hectares unirrigated, the 634.93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 532.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Thob is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3599 and has total administration over 584 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
