Thikariya Kalan is a small village of 783 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thikariya Kalan depends on Nawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 142.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thikariya Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Thikariya Kalan's pin code is 341509[4], and village code is 01904500. The area of Thikariya Kalan is segregated as 213 hectares irrigated area, 481 hectares unirrigated, the 47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nawa and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
