Theresa Nyabeze is a senior mining engineer at Vale in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.[1] Through her business Diversity STEM, she promotes diversity and inclusion in various Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.[2]
Theresa Nyabeze was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was 12 years old.[3] She graduated from Laurentian University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in engineering (B. Eng.).[4] She was elected as Vice-President of WISE Sudbury, an organisation dedicated to the advancement of women in STEM, in 2008, and was elected as President in 2009, and again in 2017 and 2018.[5] Theresa currently serves as advisor to the Afro-Heritage Association of Sudbury.[6]
