Theresa Cheung (born 8 April 1965) is an English author,[1] writer, media expert and White Shores podcast host who has written two Sunday Times top 10 bestselling titles[2] and numerous other books about dreams, the paranormal and spirituality.

Early life and education

Cheung has a bachelor's degree from King's College, Cambridge University in Theology and English and a Master's Degree in English Literature from King's College, London University.[3]

Career

Described by Women's Health as 'the British Grande Dame of psychic, spiritual studies'[4], Cheung's books have been published by various publishers in over 30 languages, while her features and comments have been published in numerous national and international newspapers, magazines, including Cosmopolitan.[5] Her co-authored title with neuroscientist Dr. Julia Mossbridge, The Premonition Code (Watkins) explored the pseudoscience that is precognition and was reviewed in the Journal of Scientific Exploration[6] and the book is mentioned in The Guardian.[7] Her Dream dictionary A to Z (Harper Collins) was first published in 2005 and has been reissued ever since and her Dream Decoder deck (Orion, Hachette) is stocked in the Freud Museum.[8] Her two Sunday Times top 10 bestselling titles were: An Angel Called My Name (Harper Collins) and An Angel Healed Me (Simon and Schuster) Her dreamwork and spiritual insight has been featured widely in the UK and US, including on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 podcast Different,[9] ITV This Morning (she is a returning guest) Fox News, Chicago , KTLA, Coast to Coast AM and others. Cheung collaborates[10] with and blogs for The Institute of Noetic Sciences and was included in the 2023 list[11] of the "100 Most Spiritually Influential People' published by Watkins Books. She co-hosted the 2022 Dream Work Summit for the Shift Network[12] and her Premonition Code book collaboration with neuroscientist Dr Julia Mossbridge[13] which features a foreword by Dr Dean Radin and Loyd Auerbach.

Her podcast White Shores,[14][15] where she interviews leading scientists, psychologists, neuroscientists, authors, experts and practitioners has been running since 2019. In recent years she has appeared on numerous celebrity and top ranking podcasts, including Megan Trainor,[16] Gabby Reece,[17] Sean Mike Kelly[18] and Jeannie Mai[19]

She has appeared as a regular dream decoder on ITV: This Morning, as well as appearances on Channel 4, BBC Radio, Capital Radio, Coast to Coast AM, KTLA, Fox news and celebrity podcasts.[20] She has been interviewed by Russell Brand on episode 71[21] of Under the Skin podcast;[22] by Guardian skeptic Michael Marshall on episode 50[23] of The Merseyside Skeptics podcast[24] and Nicky Campbell on his BBC 5 Live sounds podcast, Different.[25]

Personal life

Cheung was born into a family of spiritualists and psychics and was home educated for her A-levels before gaining a place at King's College Cambridge University to read Theology and English. Before becoming a full-time author and writer she worked as a fitness coach and a Secondary School teacher teaching English and Drama in London Secondary schools. She currently lives in Windsor (UK) with her husband Ray and two children and numerous pets.
