Theodor Striese, known as Tsodor, (* 25th October 1999 in Braunschweig) is a german music producer, composer and audio engineer.
Early life and education
Theodor Striese grew up in Salzgitter. Starting from the age of five, he received piano lessons.[1] In 2010, he attended the Landesgymnasium für Musik Wernigerode, where he received vocal training from Bertram Zwerschke, among others. He was also a member of the Rundfunk-Jugendchor Wernigerode (Broadcast Youth Choir Wernigerode).[2]
From 2012, he took violin and conducting lessons from Peter Wegener. The year before, he started participating in the "Composer Class of Saxony-Anhalt" (Komponistenklasse Sachsen-Anhalt) and received instruction in composing new music from Thomas Nathan Krüger, Thomas Buchholz, Martin Christoph Redel, and Annette Schlünz.[3] In 2013, he won the 1st Prize of the Youth Composition Competition of Saxony-Anhalt and, the following year, won both the first prize and the Publisher's Prize for his work "Roofs". Further awards and a scholarship followed. During the European Music Authors' Scholarship (EMAS) organized by the copyright collective GEMA, he met the producer Robot Koch, who had previously worked with artists like Marteria, Max Herre, and Casper, as well as the Serbian composer Marko Nikodijević.[4] Striese's work was published on the Red Bull Music Academy, Cocoon Recordings, Moodmusic Records, and Microbrew Records.[citation needed]
In 2016, he completed an internship with the sound team for software testing and sound design at Ableton AG in Berlin. After completing his high school diploma, he earned the Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Audio Engineering from the Abbey Road Institute Berlin, the educational branch of the Abbey Road Studios.[citation needed]

His music has been performed as part of youth music competitions by ensembles such as Sinfonietta Dresden, the "Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie" (Central German Chamber Philharmonic), and the Michaelis Consort Leipzig. [5][6]
In 2020, Striese co-founded the label Microbrew Records with Kwynslo, where he primarily releases his own music. Through contacts from the Abbey Road Institute, he also collaborates on productions from Luxembourg. In 2023, he joined the Berlin-based Neo-Krautrock band Großmutter.Berlin, where he is primarily responsible for sound engineering.[7]
