Thekra is a small village of 358 hectares in Alwar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thekra depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thekra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Thekra's pin code is 301702[4], and village code is 00849700. The area of Thekra is segregated as 96 hectares irrigated area, 150 hectares unirrigated, the 57.58 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Thekra is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1988 and has total administration over 259 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
