The Sedonas (band)
The Sedonas are a four piece Rock group from Knoxville, Tennessee,[1] who have opened for various national acts. They have released two singles, two EPs and one full length album, The Sedonas LP which debuted June 5, 2020.
Career
In 2016, the group released The Sedonas EP[2] and played their first show together.[3] In 2017, American Paint was recorded and released.[4] The next year the act won a local WIVK-FM sponsored music competition series, Homegrown Live,[5] which then lead to a music video for the project's track, "For Once",[6] at the Cumberland Caverns and also the release of a single, "Mind".[7] In 2019, they joined a few unofficial South by Southwest showcases and put out another single, "The Track". The band also began opening for more well known acts this year like Zeal & Ardor,[8] Andy Biersack and Blackfoot (band).[9] 2020 saw the group releasing their first full length album, The Sedonas LP, shooting a music video for the third track, "Trace of Rain", off of this self-titled project at the historic Arcada Theater Building [10] and joining Mother's Finest[11] and Drivin N Cryin[12] on some dates as support. In 2021, the act shared the stage with notable artists such as Kansas (band)[13] Blues Traveler,[14] Diamond Rio.[15] Hoobastank and Living Colour,[16] Tab Benoit,[17] Blue Öyster Cult,[18] The Marshall Tucker Band,[19] Rick Springfield,[20] The Kentucky Headhunters,[21] Eric Gales,[22] Atlanta Rhythm Section[23] and others. In 2022, the act has opened for Shenandoah (band),[24] Gordon Lightfoot,[25] The Guess Who[26] and more.
Inspirations from all different genres contribute to the group's sound. Blues, Rock music, Country music and Hip hop music are some of the more impactful categories on the band's writing and performing.
