The Gore Boyz, aka TGB, is an American pop/R&B band formed in North Carolina in 2009.[2][3] The group line-up of three brothers Herman, Edwin, and Sean-Michael Gore is growing as one of the most popular bands in the country.[4] The Gore Boyz is signed with Equity Distribution, a prominent digital streaming service owned by Roc Nation Records.[5][6][7]

The Gore Boyz is considered to have revolutionized many aspects of pop/R&B style and was often praised by the media for it.[8] The band has performed for Usher, Jacob Latimore, Justin Bieber, and at several high-profile events like Wonderama TV show hosted by David Osmond, Fantasia, and Black Expo Tom Joyner Family Reunion Concert. TGB is the recipient of the 2017 Akademia Music Award.[9]

Formation

The band was formed in 2009 when the older brother Herman pursued his parents to allow him along with his younger brothers Edwin and Sean-Michael to perform in the school talent show. The Gore Boyz are multi-talented and are proficient in singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. Herman plays keyboards/piano, Edwin plays guitar, and Sean-Michael plays the drums. They were signed by Equity Distribution, a prominent digital streaming service owned by Roc Nation Records, in 2019.

Since the inception of the band, The Gore Boyz have gained much popularity. The band has performed for several artists and at major events and venues. The Gore Boyz also performed at Hawaiian Hotel, Waikiki, opened for Fantasia, Black Expo, Tom Joyner Family Reunion Concert, and appeared in Wonderama TV hosted by David Osmond.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Gore Boyz organized a virtual benefit concert to raise funds for Morehouse College. Their latest music is produced by Grammy-award winning Theron "Neff-U" Feemster.
